TWO Redland Bay men will appear in court today after more than 80 cars - at least 21 of which were allegedly stolen or re-birthed - were found in an unused poultry shed.
The vehicles were found after a search warrant was executed by the Cleveland Criminal Investigation Branch on September 21 at a Redland Bay acreage property.
A police spokesperson said initial investigations had revealed that 21 of these vehicles were identified as being of interest either being stolen or re-birthed, most of which were Nissan Patrols.
The spokesperson said more than 20 Nissan Patrol vehicles had been reported stolen from North Brisbane this year.
A number of engines were also found, eight of which were allegedly stolen.
The sheds reportedly contained a large number of vehicle parts including bonnets, wheels, tyres, bull bars, car doors and seats, tool boxes, ute trailers and canopies, as well as power tools and trade equipment that appeared to be from stolen vehicles.
Police have charged a 36-year-old and a 45-year-old with unlawful possession of motor vehicles.
They appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court on September 21 and will next appear on September 30.
The spokesperson said police would make contact with the owners of the listed stolen vehicles.
