WELLINGTON Point Rotary Club are inviting Redlanders to dig deep for the drought-stricken outback town of Eulo at a barbecue fundraising dinner on Friday, October 25.
Money raised on the night will be donated to hard working farmers and their families in the form of food vouchers and other goods.
Tickets cost $40 per person and must be bought prior to the event, with an RSVP date set down for Friday, October 11.
Included in the purchase price will be nibblies, dinner and dessert. Beer, wine and other beverages are to be sold separately.
The barbecue will run from 6pm to 9pm at Redland Museum, Cleveland, with live music, raffles, games and an auction to keep patrons entertained throughout the night.
Wellington Point Rotary Club member Gordon Lawrence said the barbecue would be country themed.
"The magnitude of the task of supporting all drought stricken areas in Queensland is of course insurmountable for a small service club like ours...but we believe we can make a difference to a small community of less than a hundred people, which is our goal," he said.
Contact Wellington Point Rotary Club to buy tickets.
Redland Museum is located at 60 Smith Street, Cleveland.
