A MAN in his 50s has been taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition with head injuries after a pedestrian and car accident on Shore Street on Wednesday afternoon.
An ambulance spokesperson said a man in his 70s was also assessed by paramedics but was not taken to hospital.
The accident occurred about 4.30pm near the Cleveland train station.

TWO people have been injured in a car and pedestrian accident, which occurred on Shore Street about 4.30pm.
One person has been taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.

EARLIER
PARAMEDICS are assessing a man in his 50s after a vehicle and pedestrian accident in Cleveland on Wednesday afternoon.
An ambulance spokesperson said the man had received head injuries after the accident on Shore Street near the train station at 4.30pm.
Police are also on the scene.
