In order to truly succeed at anything in life you need the mindset of a champion. You need the mentality of a prize fighter. You need to learn to push through the pain. To never quit, never hold back and never retreat... not until you hear that bell at the end of the round.

Few know this better than Danny Green. In his 43 years, he has completed his journey from humble beginnings as a youngster in Perth to the dizzying heights of international sportsmanship and fame. Today, he is a beloved Aussie icon and one of the most respected fighters of all time.

Throughout his career, he not only represented his country at both the Commonwealth Games and the Sydney Olympics - where he developed reputation as a fierce competitor - but he also went onto a prestigious career.

By the time he retired, he'd held the WBA light-heavyweight title, the WBC interim super-middleweight title and twice held the IBO cruiserweight title. In 2017, he fought for the last time, beating his long time rival Anthony "The Man" Mundine in a show stopper which went the distance.

Now, after decades of digging deep to achieve his own goals, he is taking all of his experience and using it to help every day Aussies achieve theirs. That's why he developed the revolutionary new training programme at 12RND Fitness, which is designed to mimic that of a title fight.

The concept is basic: There are 12 three minute rounds with 30 seconds rest in between. Each consists of a high intensity activity, be it heavy bag or pad work, body weight exercises or functional movements.

It's essentially a new take an old favourite - circuit training - but it's simplicity and convenience is what's really taking the industry by storm. After 42 minutes, you're done. More to the point, you've been put through the ringer and will start seeing results in a few short weeks.

The workout regime is changing lives. One person who can attest to this is teacher's aide Amy, who recently lost 26kgs on the programme, reducing her body fat from 43.8 percent down to just 26.5 percent.

She first started her fitness journey in November of 2017. After almost a decade of fertility issues, her and her husband decided to go down the path of IVF. In order to do so though, she knew she'd have to take measures in regards to her physical health.

"After 20 years of marriage, my husband and I really wanted to start a family but we weren't having luck falling pregnant naturally," Amy explained.

"We had been trying for nearly 10 years with no explanation as to why it was not happening. I knew I needed to go down the path of IVF in order to have kids but, I knew to do that I had to do something about my weight first. I just didn't know how," she continued.

"Because I didn't know how to start, it was this vicious cycle where I just didn't end up doing anything... Emotionally, it was very tough to admit that I felt very stuck... It was depressing..."

However, it was around this time that she first learned about 12RND Fitness and Green's work out. A chance encounter with some sales reps in a shopping mall led to her signing up. She hasn't looked back since.

While she admits she had a few tough weeks to begin with, the staff at her local 12RND Fitness were always supportive of her efforts.

"I love the fact that for me, it's an individual challenge every time I walk through the door..." she said.

"Once I'd met my initial goal of getting to under 100kg, my self-confidence and drive had improved so much, so now I'm not so focused weight, I'm more so focused on maintenance and improving my performance..." she continued.

"My idea of body image has changed a lot in the past two years. Before 12RND, I was hiding a lot behind certain clothes and never wanted to go out and go shopping because even the things that did fit just weren't attractive.

"It's so relieving to know that I can walk into the majority of stores now and be able to pick something off the rack - I didn't have that for over 20 years."
