PEEL Island is fast becoming a movie maker's paradise and an Australian production company is the latest to get a slice of the action.
A film crew were shooting on the island last week for a love, action movie reportedly titled Great White.
American actress Katrina Bowden, who featured in hit TV shows The Bold and the Beautiful and 30 Rock, will reportedly star alongside Australian actor Aaron Jakubenko.
The production is the latest in a long line of movies shot in and around Moreton Bay.
Scenes from Narnia film The Voyage of the Dawn Treader were shot at Cleveland point in 2009 and Hollywood star Angelina Jolie directed her 2014 blockbuster Unbroken on Peel Island.
Aria Cruises co-owner Rob Hartog, who was out on the boat when he spotted the film crews, said they spent three days on Peel Island last week.
He said movie makers were drawn to the island because of its natural beauty and history.
The production company, reportedly called Thrills and Spills, is shooting at Sandgate but will return to the Redlands later this month.
It is believed their next shooting location will be somewhere at Redland Bay.
