VICTORIA Point State High School students donned their finest suits and dresses last week to celebrate the end of their schooling journey at their year 12 formal.
Arriving in style at Sirromet Winery on Wednesday, students ate, danced and enjoyed the night with their peers and teachers.
It was a chance for them to celebrate together one more time before they graduated on Friday.
Some students have now headed to the Gold Coast, North Stradbroke Island or other spots around the state with their friends for Schoolies week.
Attorney-General Yvette D'Ath urged school leavers and their parents and guardians to be aware of their rights and obligations this Schoolies, which runs until November 23.
"If everyone plays by the rules, we can ensure a safe Schoolies in 2019," she said.
