Three new flags will fly above the greens and Cleveland Bowls Club, thanks to politicians who stepped in after a senseless theft.
The Australian, Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander flags now go up side by side every day on the club's flagpole.
The club's previous Australian flag was stolen earlier this month. President Des Hedger suspects it was left out by accident overnight, allowing thieves to strike.
Mr Hedger phoned Cleveland councillor Peter Mitchell and Redland MP Andrew Laming. Mr Laming brought three new flags on Tuesday.
It was an especially positive outcome for proud Indigenous bowler Norm Clarke, who is thrilled to see the Indigenous flags alongside the Australian.
"It's about time they put up the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags at the club," Mr Clarke said.
Mr Clarke has been a member of the Cleveland club for nine years. He is a member of the Gunggari tribe.
Mr Hedger agreed it was time the club flew the Indigenous flag.
"It's a perfect thing to do," he said.
He praised Mr Laming and Mr Mitchell for acting quickly to replace the stolen flag.
"I rang Peter, who told me to ring Andrew. He said 'not a problem'," Mr Hedger said.
"It was quick too."
Mr Laming was confused by the nature of the crime.
"I thought it was odd for someone to steal an Aussie flag, considering I give them out for free," he said.
Cr Mitchell was pleased with the outcome.
"It's refreshing and very welcome when people reach out for help, on big or small issues," he said.
