At Mary Street Childcare Centre staff and children celebrate the end of each year with a 'Family Fun' afternoon which will be held this Friday at 4pm.
This is a special afternoon where families, children and staff get together and celebrate friendships and a highlight will be a visit from baby farm animals where children can sit and cuddle a duckling or a baby goat.
What's more, hello Africa will be performing their drum and music show at the centre and there will be face painting, balloon twisting, sausage sizzle and craft activities for a fun way to get prepared for Christmas.
The 'Preschool Possums' will be graduating soon with a special night for themselves and their families.
Staff have watched some of these children grow and learn with the centre for many years which makes this is a lovely tradition to enjoy with the entire Mary Street family.
Mary Street Childcare Centre is a welcoming place where children can be themselves, have a strong sense of identity and where relationships are respectful and responsive.
Staff create an environment where children feel safe, secure and supported by simply listening and respecting a child's opinion by acting on it. They answer questions and value a child's idea by exploring it.
Mary Street educators help nurture and extend on these ideas and thoughts, knowing when to step back and let the children's creativity flow, when to join in and when to guide them.
