REDLANDS, Beaudesert and Jimboomba have their best chance of showers or a storm on Sunday in weeks.
Parched back yards and dry paddocks are the order of the day in the area, with the few storms generated over past weeks mostly going through Brisbane's northside and the Sunshine Coast.
Weather Bureau forecasters say Beaudesert has a 70 per cent to 80 per cent chance of a shower or storm.
There is a high chance of showers at Beaudesert, most likely from the late morning.
The chance of a thunderstorm also from the late morning, possibly severe.
Winds will be north to northwest at 20 to 30 km/h tending north to northeasterly in the late afternoon then tending north to northwesterly in the late evening.
Overnight temperatures falling to around 20 with daytime temperatures reaching 31 to 36.
Similarly Jimboomba has an 80 per cent chance of a shower or storm, with temperatures rising to 37 degrees.
Redlands will get to 31 degrees, with a 70 per cent chance of a storm, possibly severe, and showers.
