Redlands College will send a large contingent to the Australian Volleyball Titles this weekend, and they have medals on their minds at the Gold Coast.
The school has more than doubled its team for this year's titles, with 11 teams competing.
The school will send teams in the honours division - top three from each state - and division one.
The school's sports and activities director, Malcolm Oosterbeek, was confident of success.
"I'm fairly confident the under 17 boys will medal," he said.
It will be tough, though, with some of the best players in the country out to take victory.
"It's always a journey. Nothing is given to you on a plate," Oosterbeek said.
"it's over five sets, which is even harder. The other divisions are hour matches."
The college will have one of the largest contingents in action at the titles.
Players, teachers and coaches make for more than 100 people representing the college.
The titles are spread over two venues: Coomera and Carrara.
"It will be excellent," Oosterbeek said of his expectation of the facilities.

Last year, the college sent five teams to compete.
Oosterbeek said the popularity of volleyball in the Redlands was due to the dedication of people who wanted it to do well.
He praised Brad Mercer from Cleveland District State High School and Morgan Gibbons from Capalaba State College.
"There are some key people who are keen to see the sport go ahead in the Redlands," Oosterbeek said.
"The kids tend to enjoy the community, and they are bringing some healthy competition into it.
"We play a lot of scratch games, as we try to improve each other.
"Volleyball is getting pretty strong in the bayside. Cleveland and Capalaba are very strong."
The teams: Open boys div 1, open girls div 2, 11 boys honours, 10 girls div 1, 10 girls div 2, 9 boys honours, 8 boys honours, 7 boys div 1, 7 girls div 1, 7 boys div 2, 7 girls div 2.
