It was a night of community, connection and collaboration when 760 people gathered at the Sheldon Event Centre for the Redland Business and Retail Awards.
A prestigious annual event, the November 23 awards showcased the best businesses and retail outlets on offer in Redland City.
Guests were enthralled by the Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation (QYAC) who opened the evening with a traditional smoking ceremony followed by a Welcome to Country.
The Redland Business and Retail Awards 2019 has completed its fourth successful year after expanding the decorated honours to include those categories which were formerly awarded under the Redland Business Awards.
In its 16th year, the awards attracted more than 12,600 votes and 185 finalists.

"It's been another successful year for the awards with over 160 retailers being nominated by local shoppers and a further 70 businesses self nominating for the business categories," Mr Chester-Master said.
"Of these, 185 finalists progressed to the finals stage."
The aim of the awards is to promote local shopping and business growth, while showcasing Redland City businesses who provide great customer service.
The event was masterfully planned down to the finest detail.
Tables were decorated with local flora and table runners hand made by renown artist Delvene Cockatoo-Collins.
Beautiful artwork by artist Shara Delaney was featured on all the marketing material for the awards throughout the year.

The attendees were treated to storytelling and traditional dance throughout the night and a menu that featured local ingredients including South East Queensland King Prawns and kangaroo filet.
Business of the Year was awarded to the winner of the Most Innovative Award, Greenplate, and Retailer of the Year was awarded to Injex Clinics in Capalaba.
Both won the top awards for the first time with Injex Clinics winning the Beauty Services award for the second year in a row.
