THE Southern Moreton Bay Islands chamber of commerce is up and running in full force once more, with a new committee appointed at its annual general meeting.
Nearly 50 local business people attended the meeting on November 29 at Russell Island.
It came after the Chamber launched its new website and Facebook page, complete with a new logo.
Vice president Chris McGregor said membership had more than doubled in recent months. The Chamber aimed to provide a voice for businesses across the islands in the lead-up to the 2020 local and state elections.
"We are here to be the voice for all business and we have grown from 10 members to 31 in the last months," he said.
"All business and employees are encouraged and (are) welcome to join the newly energised Chamber. We need your business knowledge skill and passion and everyone is welcome."
Mr McGregor said there were about 250 small businesses on the four islands.
The new committee includes residents from industries including law, real estate and marketing.
