The entire team at Greenplate are still pinching themselves after receiving recognition amongst all the great businesses in the local region.
The Australian owned and operated electric barbecue and solar product company received not only the Most Innovative Business but also the prestigious Business of the Year awards.
"We would like to extend a big thankyou to everyone involved in the awards along with all of the business that attended," said production manager Alex Kimmins.
He said the Redlands Business Awards enabled companies to network and also enjoy a great night out together as a team.
The Capalaba based company prides itself on ensuring its unique electric barbecues and solar products are consistently at the cutting edge of technology.
"And being quality assured to ISO 9001:2015, we can assure clients that our practices consistently provide unsurpassed quality and service," said Alex.
Greenplate's parent company, Cosmos Solar has been trading locally since 1983, establishing Greenplate in 2004 as its sales and distribution arm of the business.
Its 'Inbench Barbecue' cooking appliance utilises Australian designed patented technology to achieve results never seen before its inception.
"The introduction of this technology has genuinely been a revolution in creating a sustainable product solution which reduces power consumption by up to 50 per cent to that of any competitor's barbecue appliance on today's market.
"This patented technology is a breakthrough in reducing emissions.
"The efficiency and performance are credited to the Inbench Barbecue units patented safe, extra low voltage and high current technology which never compromises on high heat capacity."
This technique is used to achieve high temperatures in a short space of time while still using the least amount of energy possible.
Greenplate is also proud to have invented and installed the first solar electric barbecue, some 16 years ago.
According to Alex, the barbecue is still running efficiently without any replacement batteries or any ongoing power/running costs as 100 per cent of the energy is supplied by the sun.
"This in turn has made the client's investment from the date of installation cost free!"
Greenplate can also power up projects with its solar lighting systems and solar bud/fairy lighting very effectively.
"Our solar locking systems are designed for public amenities blocks to automatically lock and unlock doors at programmed times.
"This in turn saves council's money by not having to pay staff/contractors to do the job manually which also alleviates any unreliability."
