This Christmas, we have plenty to be thankful for in the Redlands, not least the strength of a free democracy.
As the Redlands' sole representative in the nation's parliament, my role is ensuring you are fairly represented, and I look forward to continuing that next year.
I am committed to transparency and shining a light on darkness, often on uncomfortable topics.
Some people react with anger, but this isn't the Christmas spirit. The strength of a democracy is that each of us has the right to know. It is part of a free and functional society.
I will continue to strive for answers on a range of topics. They include Stradbroke Island vehicle fees, Toondah Harbour and the duplication of the area's roads, many of which will be jammed with festive tourists.
The replacement of the Leslie Harrison Dam gates is something I will also campaign for.
I welcome questions you might have so we can help shine a light on this government.
I sincerely wish you and those you love all the very best for Christmas, and a special new year.
I look forward to serving you in 2020 and beyond.
