Man charged after alleged armed robbery at Victoria Point
A MAN has been charged after allegedly robbing a Victoria Point convenience store armed with a gun.
On December 17, police arrested a 33-year-old man at a Bethania address, where four firearms were also found.
Around 5.30pm on Saturday, December 14, police allege the man entered the store on the corner of Colburn Avenue and Thompson Street with gun and demanded cash and tobacco.
He appeared in the Cleveland Magistrates Court, charged with armed robbery and entering premises with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He will be remanded in custody until his next court appearance in late February.
