The Our Country exhibition at the Old SchoolHouse Gallery in February showcases Australia, the place we call home through the unique perspectives of local artists, Nicole Darlington and Natasha Gibson-Scott.
Featuring Australian native wildlife, flora and landscapes, which are their inspiration and theme of the exhibition, their artworks are executed in a wide variety of media, including linocuts, alcohol ink, oil pastels, ceramics, jewellery, pyrography, acrylics and more.
Nicole and Natasha will donate 25 per cent of all their sales during the exhibition to bushfire funds of wildlife organisations to aid in the rescue and rehabilitation of wildlife due to the devastating bushfire season Australia has seen in 2019 and 2020.
Our Country opens on Saturday, February 8 at 5.30pm
On the first Wednesday of each month, the gallery has a complete changeover of works by our 26-member group, with a feature member or guest artist in the front gallery, and other member works in the rest of our gallery.
There are, every so often, new members offering unique and inspiring work.
The Old SchoolHouse Gallery has an exciting year coming up with its 30th anniversary in October and celebrations are planned throughout the month.
The gallery is open every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 9.30am to 4.30pm, 124-126 Shore Street North, Cleveland Point.
Free entry with off-street parking and wheelchair access.
