FIRE crews were called to put out a vegetation fire burning in Mount Cotton bushland on Tuesday morning.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said the fire was reported near West Mount Cotton and Venman roads shortly after 8am.
She said crews put the fire out soon after arriving on scene as it was only covering about 30 metres of land.
The fire will now be investigated to identify the cause and establish whether it was accidental or malicious.
More than 60 fire investigators gather information to prevent the recurrence of fires and improve firefighter safety across Queensland.
