CLEVELAND police have enjoyed working out of an upgraded station over the busy holiday period.
Important upgrades to the Cleveland Police Station were completed just before Christmas, including a new duty office and an office space for other policing functions.
Redlands MP Kim Richards said the state government had invested more than $45,000 in the upgrades.
She said the Queensland Police Service had a reputation as a world-class operation.
"It's important for us to support the efforts of our hardworking police by giving them the best possible facilities," Ms Richards said.
"Recent works at the Cleveland police station reflect the government's commitment to the police that serve the Redlands so selflessly."
Police Minister Mark Ryan said the work had also supported the construction industry and local jobs.
"The Palaszczuk government is committed to supporting police in the work they do for local communities," he said.
"We have more police personnel than ever and they are better equipped than ever before.
"We commend their dedication to keeping Queenslanders safe."
