POLICE will close roads at Mount Cotton for the Elton John concerts at Sirromet Winery on the weekend.
Organisers are advising concert-goers that the best mode of transport to and from the A Day on the Green event is by shuttle bus, as they will be given priority access to the venue.
Acting Sergeant Brendon Winslow said the public should be patient and adhere to detour signage and police and traffic controllers, particularly following the event.
"There will be traffic disruption on Mount Cotton Road and minimal closure on Woodlands Drive, between Taylor Road and Mount Cotton Road," he said.
"If exiting the venue from the main gate onto Mount Cotton Road, all vehicles must turn left.
"If exiting the venue from the northern gate onto Mount Cotton Road, all vehicles must turn right."
Shuttle busses will depart from the Brisbane CBD, Garden City, Carindale, Capalaba, Eight Mile Plains, Springwood and Logan Hyperdome.
Gates open at 4pm, with Tate Sheridan performing at 5.30pm and Elton John at 7pm.
