A WET weekend has helped the Redlands record its highest monthly rainfall total since March last year.
The Weather Bureau had recorded 221 millimetres for the month by 9am on Monday, with more than half of that falling on Saturday when heavy showers and storms swept through the south-east.
It was the second weekend running that wild weather had hit the Redlands, seeing the rainfall total for this month eclipse the January average.
Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-30s this week as a warm change greets the south-east.
Australia Day is predicted to be party cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers.
The best chance of further shower and storm activity is Monday afternoon, with the Weather Bureau giving the Redlands an 80 per cent chance of receiving 15 to 25 millimetres.
