CLEVELAND detectives are investigating a fire which gutted a truck at Thornlands on Saturday night.
The owners of the white 2003 Hino FD series tip truck were travelling along Cleveland Redland Bay Road, between Finlandia Village and Pinklands Recreation Reserve at 7pm on Saturday when they sustained a flat tyre.
The tip truck was left parked and locked on the side of the road.
After 3am on Sunday, emergency services were told the truck was on fire.
The blaze started after entry was forced into the vehicle and completely destroyed the cabin and front of the truck.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen vehicles or people stopped near or next to the truck throughout the evening and early morning.
Detectives are also appealing for anyone with relevant dashcam footage to contact them.
