BRAZEN thieves have struck the Redlands again, hitting two shopping centres in the early hours of Monday morning.
Thieves used a car to smash their way into Capalaba Park Shopping Centre about 2am and made off with jewellery from Wallace Bishop.
A Queensland Police spokesman said the Hyundai i30 used in the ram raid was found later in the day near Old Cleveland Road at Chandler.
Thieves also smashed their way into Victoria Point Shopping Centre shortly before 5am. It is not known whether anything was stolen during the attack.
The police spokesman said the robberies were being treated as separate incidents while investigations were ongoing.
A Capalaba Park representative said damage to Wallace Bishop was being repaired.
"Straight away they had people on site getting everything organised," he said.
"The same goes for us with regards to our entrance and talks about mitigating procedures being put in place so it doesn't happen again.
"As far as the centre itself and the retailers goes, we are open and it is business as usual."
Victoria Point Shopping Centre management did not respond to questions.
Local police were also contacted for comment but were unavailable.
