Songwriter Aislinn Sharp has relaunched her song The Wall in a new format and will release it on music streaming services on March 4.
Ms Sharp said the song had been remixed with a more electronic sound by Melbourne based producer PattyBoomba (Pat Gabriel, currently touring with ILLY, the rapper).
" I found and reached out to Patty through his music website (https://www.pattyboomba.com/). Patty is based in Melbourne, and we've never met. But working well as a team online, Patty and I have been successful in communicating and creating my new songs over the past three years," Ms Sharp said.
"Launching The Wall (PattyBoomba Remix) is exciting because it's the very first song release by Patty and I. It was a creative project and challenge to re-imagine my past single," she said.
Previously the single featured former world beat boxing champion, Joel Turner in a hip-hop inspired track. The song is about invisible walls that can be built in any close relationships.
"This song remix is also my way of introducing Patty and our new sound to the world. The Wall (PattyBoomba Remix) is just the start of sharing and encouraging people to follow our song collaborations on Spotify, Apple Music, and other streaming services in 2020 and beyond."
Ms Sharp said streaming music was the wave of the future, something which hit home for her when Sanity at Victoria Point closed.
"Releasing music completely online is the new way for listeners to access and enjoy my music. Music now has a digital platform. What this means for me though is that now my music has a bigger market than Australia. It opens up some awesome opportunities," she said.
Ms Sharp said listeners could pre-add and pre-save The Wall (PattyBoomba Remix) on Apple music and Spotify on https://gyro.lnk.to/TheWall-PattyBoombaRemix
Once released, people can follow Ms Sharp's music on Spotify, Apple Music, and other streaming services on https://linktr.ee/AislinnSharp
Ms Sharp writes pop songs to make people 'feel, dance, and connect'. A former local project was Sounds Original where she invited other songwriters to share their work.
Aislinn's first EP, On the Couch was supported and played on community radio stations across Australia as an unsigned artist. Her fifth single, Alone (Bye Bye) went #1 on the Triple J unearthed chart.
She also has a passion for helping musicians with mental health, and encouraging more people to have R U OK conversations.
She is currently working on new songs to be released this year.
"This release is just warming up my audience," she said.
