Early education that's affordable

Bayside Kindergarten and Childcare strives to offer affordable early education and childcare options for families within the local community.

Director Meegan O'Donohue has been with the Alexandra Hills childcare service for six years and she is proud of Bayside's commitment to fostering safe, nuturing and child focused relationships.

The service has a solid 25 year history and consists of 18 educators.

"All hold either a diploma or Certificate III in children's services as well as two bachelor qualified teachers," Meegan said.

At Bayside, play based learning opportunities are purposefully scaffolded to enable child lead choices to meet and challenge each child's developmental stage.

This is achieved through a range of fun activities that make full use of its large generous natural grounds and rain forest garden.

Meegan said that current trends are sustainability and connecting children with nature, which the service endorses.

Bayside Kindergarten and Childcare is a 'not for profit' community centre which celebrates Child Protection Week, Seniors Week and regularly collects donations for the Redlands Community Centre.
