The Old SchoolHouse Gallery, in line with the current government directives in the fight to minimise the spread of COVID-19, has closed our doors for the foreseeable future.
Unfortunately, this also means our advertised exhibition schedule and monthly openings showcasing our members' amazingly diverse and vibrant works will also be on hold until the all clear.
However, our very talented members will not be idle.
They will all be busy over the coming months creating new work to show in our wonderful gallery as soon as we are able to reopen.
Our painters will be creating works in oils, acrylic, watercolour, pastels, coloured pencil and a mixture of all media while our photographers will be capturing the wildlife and landscapes in their immediate surroundings.
Our potters and ceramicists will have their kilns all fired up producing new wares and our artisans will be creating their signature handmade jewellery, scarves, bags, quilts, cards and more all in preparation for when we can open our doors again.
In the coming months you will be able to follow our members' creative journeys and learn more about their individual art practices in these monthly articles and on our website, Facebook and Instagram pages.
The Old SchoolHouse Gallery has been part of the arts community in the Redlands for three decades and this October is our 30-year anniversary.
We continue to plan the activities and events to celebrate this amazing milestone, so keep an eye out for updates.
