A MACLEAY Island man will face court on drugs and driving charges after he was allegedly caught with 28 grams of cannabis while riding a petrol-powered assist bicycle.
Police intercepted the man on March 31 and he was charged with driving an unregistered vehicle while unlicensed and possessing dangerous drugs and drug utensils.
Less than a month later, police charged the same man with driving an unregistered, uninsured vehicle without a license and possessing a drug utensil.
He was issued a notice to appear to attend Cleveland Magistrates Court on May 19.
A 25-year-old Macleay Island woman will also appear in court, charged with possessing dangerous drugs and utensils.
Assault
A 27-year-old Redland Bay man was charged with assault causing bodily harm and public nuisance after an incident at the Macleay Island jetty on April 16.
He was released on bail not to attend Macleay Island and will appear at Cleveland Magistrates Court on May 5.
A 25-year-old Macleay Island woman is set to appear in court in July, charged with public nuisance and obstructing police.
A 35-year-old woman was charged with common assault, and will face court in June.
Good order offence
A 42-year-old Russell Island woman was issued a public nuisance infringement for an alleged incident at the Macleay Island jetty on April 4.
On April 18, a 51-year-old woman was issued a notice to appear for alleged breach of bail conditions to appear Cleveland Magistrates Court July 7.
On April 27, a 28-year-old woman was issued an infringement notice for trespass on Macleay Island.
Domestic violence
Macleay Island Police investigated five domestic violence incidents in April.
