A heartbroken mum has slammed the Melbourne driver responsible for a crash that killed two people as a "bloody idiot".
Hayden Currie was speeding in his car when it T-boned another vehicle along Ferntree Gully Rd at Oakleigh East on September 29, 2019.
The 19-year-old admitted to culpable driving, reckless conduct endangering life and recklessly causing serious injury in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Thursday.
"Guilty to all charges, your honour," Currie told magistrate Donna Bakos.
Rear seat passenger 19-year-old Jacinta Barnett and 21-year-old Shannon Juriansz, who was in the other car, were killed in the crash.
Currie was driving at a "high speed" with three friends when he ploughed into Mr Juriansz' vehicle at 149 km/h, court documents show.
Outside court, Ms Barnett's mother hoped she and her younger daughter could move on after Currie's guilty plea.
"I'm still feeling angry," Sam Barnett said of her daughter's death.
She slammed Currie for his driving and said he wasn't sorry for the crash.
"People may say he has (remorse) ... he wouldn't have acted like a bloody idiot on that night," Ms Barnett said.
She said her daughter was an "amazing" photographer and was eager to travel the world.
"She was a beautiful girl, very funny, very kind," she said.
It was also revealed in court documents that police found dash cam footage which showed Currie driving dangerously days before the fatal crash.
He pleaded guilty to reckless conduct by "driving at excessive speed", placing people in danger of death at Box Hill on September 18.
Other charges he admitted to including driving at a speed dangerous to the public on four times on separate days in September and another occasion in August.
Currie's bail was extended and he will next face court in September.
