Redland students from Prep to Year 9 are being encouraged to reveal their favourite books as part of the Premier's reading challenge.
The challenge which is in partnership with QSuper, offers students the opportunity to win an exclusive workshop with award-winning children's author Brian Falkner.
QSuper will select two student nominations for the literary workshop and there are eight $500 book vouchers to be won.
QSuper Chief Executive Officer, Michael Pennisi said QSuper was committed to Queensland education and supporting the important work of Queensland teachers.
"The challenge inspires a love of reading in students and works to increase literacy rates across the state. Last year, more than 100 students told us about their favourite books and we're hoping for even more young readers to get involved in our sixth year supporting the challenge," Mr Pennisi said.
Author Mr Falkner said he was a fan of Roald Dahl, particularly Matilda.
"When you're young, the windows of your imagination are wide open and, in my experience, a love of reading allows you to keep that imagination as you transition into adulthood.
"I'm looking forward to hosting workshops at two Queensland schools which will focus on the creation of stories, how to craft believable, empathetic characters which go on a journey, and how to make others want to read it."
