Local certified accountant Bill Wight was awarded the prestigious Innovator of the Year award at the Accounting Industry Awards dinner last Friday.
The Australian Accounting Awards recognised excellence across the accounting industry, and showcased the individuals and firms which were leading the way in the industry.
In line with current COVID 19 restrictions the awards were live streamed with Mr Wight and his family and friends gathering at the Curlew Café on Coochie to hear the results.
Mr Wight is principal of the accounting firm Future Profit which recently developed an offshoot start up entity called Adieu.
Adieu is a landmark achievement in the industry and also a milestone in Australian family law.
Adieu provides couples with the online tools to settle their property matters when separation or divorce takes place.
Mr Wight and his associates built their 1 Click Disclosure system in six months from the ground up.
Adieu Accounting beat eight finalists to take top spot.
