New research reveals that pets need are prioritised in the morning by owners

Australian Bananas has revealed that nearly all young pet owners, 96 per cent, prioritise the needs of their pets in the morning over themselves.

This includes feeding them or letting them go outside before doing anything else.

A zealous 4 in 10 (39 per cent) said that they always prioritise their pet's needs before eating breakfast themselves,

A solid 28 per cent said that they would frequently do this.

And three in ten (30 per cent) said that they do this only occasionally or rarely.

Pets are important members of many families, and with the increase in adoption by new owners that the country experienced during the lockdown, a lot will be getting used to the new normal form them of prioritising their pets morning needs.

The research further showed that women, at 47 per cent, are more likely than men, at only 31 per cent to always prioritise the needs of their pet over eating breakfast themselves in the morning.

Whereas men, at 59 per cent, are more likely than women, at 43per cent, to do so frequently or occasionally.

Age was also and family sizes also plays a factor into pets being prioritised.

Young Australians who do not have their own children are much more likely, at 47 per cent, than those who do, at 30 per cent, to always prioritise the needs of their fur kids before taking car of themselves in the morning.
