FROM shorebirds to water quality, residents will have their questions on the proposed Toondah Harbour development answered at a series of online information sessions, starting this week.
The Talk Toondah sessions - running between July 30 and August 11 - will allow residents to ask questions of the team who are assessing the project.
Toondah Harbour communications manager Dolan Hayes said the Talk Toondah sessions were designed to provide the community with an open online forum to discuss all aspects of the project.
"There are six separate sessions that focus on different areas of the Environment Impact Statement and the Toondah Harbour Project Masterplan," Mr Hayes said.
"Everyone will have an opportunity to ask questions of the team of experts assessing the project on issues ranging from koala protection to the area's aquatic ecology."
People could attend one session or all six, depending on their level of interest.
"Whether you are interested in one area or want an in-depth understanding of the whole project, the Talk Toondah sessions are a way of getting the facts about Toondah Harbour," Mr Hayes said.
"Anyone can register for every session if they want to but please remember that you will need to register for each session you want to attend.
"There are also a series of videos introducing key members of the Project Team, which will also help people decide what information sessions will be of most interest to them.
"We are asking anyone with questions to please let us know during the registration process so we can provide the most detailed answer. We will still welcome questions during the session because we know that there's a lot of interest in this project."
Each Talk Toondah session will be held online using the Zoom video conferencing service.
The sessions cover the following topics
- The Environmental Impact Statement process overview - Thursday, July 30 at 6pm
- The Toondah Harbour Project Masterplan - Saturday, August 1 at 11am
- Coastal processes, water quality and aquatic ecology - Saturday, August 1 at 1.30pm
