Rod Stewart's The Hits tour to come to Sirromet on November 7 and 8 this year has been rescheduled for April 2 and 3, 2022.
Roundhouse Entertainment, in conjunction with Live Nation advised that ongoing travel restrictions, border closures and the continued limitations on mass gatherings in Australia caused the rescheduling.
Tickets for all a day on the green performances will remain valid for the corresponding rescheduled shows (November 7 for April 2 and November 8 for April 3) without the need for exchange and ticketholders are encouraged to hold onto their tickets.
Stewart said he was sorry about the postponement.
"But I'll be there in 2022, March and April, and it's going to be great. Hold on to your tickets," he said.
Patrons who are unable to attend the new dates can obtain a full refund from their authorised point of purchase. Requests for refunds must be submitted within 30 days from notification and only the credit card holder who purchased the ticket(s) can seek a refund via their authorised point of purchase.
Roundhouse Entertainment and Live Nation apologised to any ticketholders who had been inconvenienced by the rescheduling, and thanked fans for their understanding and support.
Stewart's catalogue of hits includes classics You Wear It Well, You're in My Heart, Tonight's the Night, Gasoline Alley, Every Picture Tells a Story, Mandolin Wind, Sailing, The Killing of Georgie, Young Turks, Forever Young, Hot Legs, Infatuation, Da Ya Think I'm Sexy? and Some Guys Have All The Luck.
Stewart has extensively toured the USA, with highlights including headlining a series of shows at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas as part of a multi-year residency and adding a third sold-out Hollywood Bowl concert in LA for a landmark reunion set with his former bandmate Jeff Beck.
Warner Music will honour the legendary singer with a new album which will allow fans to hear Rod's biggest hits with his classic vocal style set to full orchestral arrangements.
