Redlands Tigers 1st grade have defeated Ipswich Hornets at Peter Burge Oval.
Redlands won the toss and sent Ipswich in to bat. Redlands got off to a good start with another Sam Heazlett run out.
The Redlands bowlers bowled well as a unit constantly taking wickets and making it difficult for Ipswich to build damaging partnerships.
Daniel Wilson 80 (106) was the main batsman to trouble the bowlers. Jasper Sumner 2/28 (6) and Simon Milenko 2/32 (9) took two wickets each, with multiple bowlers picking up one wicket each.
Jimmy Peirson and Sam Heazlett got the Redlands run chase off to a flying start and they were 0/78 off 10 overs.
From there the batsman controlled the innings to win comfortably, with another bonus point to put them into a great position before the final two rounds leading in to finals. Sam Heazlett finished with 109* (96), Jimmy Peirson 41 (35) and Leigh Drennan 30* (34).
Tigers 2nd grade lost narrowly to Ipswich on Baxter Oval. Redlands won the toss and sent Ipswich in to bat. Ipswich got off to a great start and made 90 before the first wicket fell. From there the Redlands bowlers were able to able to drag back some of the momentum, with Ipswich finishing on 8/251 after their 50 overs. Harry Austin made 108 (103) and Matthew Andrews 47 (53). Ben Long took 3/46 (10) Toby Kerswell 2/60 (10) Charles Evans 1/44(10).
Redlands lost an early wicket but built a good second wicket partnership. The Ipswich bowlers bowled well to stem the runs, pushing the required rate up to eight runs an over before some late hitting from Craig Weier and Ben Long got us within sight of the target. Redlands Lords Taverner's were defeated by Sunshine Coast on Peter Burge Oval on Sunday.
Sunshine Coast won the toss and batted. Redlands bowlers had Sunshine Coast under pressure all innings, taking regular wickets. A last wicket partnership off 42 got them to a position where they were all out for 158 in the 42nd over. A Muir made 43 (67), and T Longhurst 39 (40). The pick of the Redlands bowlers was T Rieck 3/14 (5) B Grant 3/52 (8) H Zietsch 2/20 (7.3).
In response, Redland batsmen could not build any partnerships as wickets fell regularly. The tail enders scored a few runs but eventually Redlands were dismissed for 78. Ipswich bowlers M Armstrong 2/7 (4) T Longhurst 2/15 (6) A Muir 2/15 (6) doing the damage.

Redlands won the toss and batted first. Redlands posted 5/241 from their 50 overs. C Jardine made 69 (101) R Grant 56 (71) and M Grant 33 (35).
In response, Ipswich had a great start and were on 83 when the first wicket fell. From there the young Redlands lads controlled the innings well restricting the flow of runs with some tight bowling.
Wickets continued to fall, with Ipswich eventually finishing on 7/200.
