THE Redlands College community is mourning the loss of pioneering member Ann Todd.
Mrs Todd was the mother of founding headmaster Allan Todd, and long serving staff member Sally Reed and was instrumental in starting the school in 1988.
Redlands College principal Dr Andrew Johnson confirmed her death last Friday and paid tribute to the stalwart.
"Ann and her late husband Thomas played a key role in the foundation of Redlands College including a mortgage over their home to help the school obtain its initial finance," he said.
The couple continued to be active members of the college community for many years.
Mrs Todd served on the college board and was an early archivist of college records.
"Ann was a well-loved member of the community and continued to attend college awards ceremonies up until last year," he said.
