Connecting with a new internet home service can be a real headache for most.
Setting up the modem, preparing all the devices - this with most providers usually entails lengthy waits on hold to be guided through the process.
Most providers don't even send out their own technicians, instead supplying guide documents or having the customer call them.
Source Internet is proudly different, being a local internet service provider with real knowledge and understanding of the nbn access network.
Source Internet helps its customers understand the issues and provides a solution to best suit their internet needs. Technicians will come directly to South-East Queensland residents.
"We offer to send out our own technicians to your house on the day you get connected free of charge," said co-founder Alex Byasse.
"They will setup your modem, all your devices, and most importantly test your connection.
"This way, if there is something wrong with your home cabling/wifi/out in the street network, we will pinpoint it on day one. Then we can offer at cost solutions to you right away."
Both he and founding partner Matthew Humphries believe this is what makes Source Internet a great service and helps customers gain a much better nbn experience straight off the bat.
"We are finding that more people are needing reliable high-speed internet, whether it is for working from home, internet gaming or entertainment in high definition," said Matthew.
"We are able to offer the higher speeds of over 100mbps download at a very competitive rate."
The pair have an extensive history working with nbn having managed the physical construction of it across Queensland over the past seven years and more recently, construction of new business services throughout most of Queensland.
"Because of our construction background we are able to offer an end-to-end service," Matthew said.
Not only can Source Internet get the internet up and running, they also fix issues and have a licensed cabler who is able to upgrade the internal home cabling for a better internet connection.
At Source Internet, customers speak with real people who understand the nbn network, who can help them when problems arise.
"So for customer support, we know and have employed a lot of the people who worked with us on the nbn.
"They are knowledgeable and based in our office in Mt Gravatt. So when you call Source Internet you go straight to an all Aussie customer support that have real knowledge about the nbn," Alex said.
Customers have so far reported better speeds since switching from other high volume, low cost providers.
