RICArts members are displaying patchwork quilts, ceramics and paintings as the current exhibition on Russell island.
The display will be staged until November 12 to be followed by an exhibition by Thelma Bennett, to be officially opened at 10am on November 15. This dynamic exhibition runs from November 13 to 18.
The opening coincides with the Sunday market.
The market opens at 8am and offers sausage sizzles, Devonshire teas, plant and craft stalls. The market is also a convenient and ideal opportunity to buy a unique Christmas gift.
The next exhibition is from November 19 and features hand crafted items including paintings, ceramics, jewellery and hand-sewn products.
This is an under-$50 exhibition of hand crafted items and is open pre-Christmasto January 2021.
Beatrice Sheehan is offering the next workshop entitled The Golden Section from 9.30am to 12.30pm on October 27.
The workshop offering simple guidelines on how artists, from ancient to contemporary, created harmonious and beautiful compositions. A fee of $5 applies.
The Farm, Arthouse and Gallery is situated at the end of Robert Street.
It is open for patchwork sewing classes on Mondays 9am to 12.30pm, pottery on Monday and Friday 9.30am to 12.30pm, art in any medium and tutoring on Tuesday 9.30am to 12.30pm, craft in any medium on Wednesdays 9.30am to 12.30pm and mosaics on Thursdays 9.30am to 12.30pm.
