STAR Community Services is offering Redlands seniors an opportunity to learn about the National Broadband Network during online seminars.
The sessions will be held over Zoom next Tuesday and Thursday at 10am to coincide with Get Online Queensland Week.
NBN ambassador Keir Tierney said community awareness would ensure the NBN was properly utalised.
"Through the STAR Tech online seminar, we aim to cover some of the commonly asked questions like what is NBN, how to connect to it, and how to get the most from your connection," he said.
"Participants will also get safety tips to steer clear of online scams."
STAR Tech and NBN ambassadors have joined forces to present the online seminars.
They will be offered free to anyone living in the Redlands, including the islands, if they lodge an expression of interest in Star Tech.
Launched in December last year, the program offers technology support to those aged 65 and over, or 50 and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Call 3821 6699 for more information or email startech@starct.org.au to launch an expression of interest and receive seminar login details.
