HOT on the heels of coronavirus tune 'Everyone's a Hero', three Redlands musicians have released another song with a serious message.
In April Michael Quinn, Steve Brady and Michael Stewart wrote, recorded and produced a song that featured how COVID-19 had affected countries and people all over the world.
The latest song, Don't Leave Me was written by Michael Quinn and Michael Stewart and is being played on Bay FM 100.3.
"The background of the song is about the effect on the person who has a positive result of COVID19. It is how quickly you find yourself facing the possibility of dying from the effects of the virus," Mr Stewart said.
Mr Stewart said the song explores the patients feelings as they get sick and don't want to be left alone.
"You naturally reflect on your life and call for the added support from medical experts and support of loved ones...the level of anxiety on receiving a positive test result sends everything into overdrive," he said.
Mr Stewart conceptualised the song and wrote the lyrics and Mr Quinn wrote the music.
Mr Brady plays the drums on the song and continues to support the group with his engineering skills that brings a quality sound to the music.
Mr Stewart has now penned over 140 songs across a wide range of topics and the musicians are producing music with the support of other artists.
"We hope Don't Leave Me connects with listeners. It is our small way of playing a small part in support of those affected by the virus and the medical community," he said.
