It was a chance to meet the artists at the Redland Art Gallery on October 25, their work forming the basis for two wetland themed exhibitions on show until December 6.
The exhibitions are entitled Canaipa Mudlines and Wetlanders.
Artist Sue Poggioli of the Migaloo Press Artists Collective said the works focussed on what happened on the edge of the water and the land. One of the pieces entitled On the Edge is a compilation of works by 11 artists.
"It looks at the threats to fish and birds due to a loss of habitat," she said.
Wetlanders is a collection of prints, books and drawings sourced across Moreton Bay.
