AN elderly man and woman have been taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition after a car crashed into a tree at Mount Cotton this afternoon.
Paramedics, including the critical care team, attended the scene at the intersection of Double Jump and Mount Cotton road shortly after 3pm.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the man had sustained chest and pelvic injuries, but could not confirm the nature of the woman's injuries.

PARAMEDICS, including the critical care team, are at the scene of a single vehicle crash at Mount Cotton.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said crews were called to the intersection of Double Jump and Mount Cotton roads about 3.18pm after receiving reports that a car had hit a tree.
A man and woman are currently being assessed for injuries.
The high acuity response unit has also been called to the scene.
