MOVE over Willy Wonka - a new chocolate factory is coming to town.
The Blue Tongue Chocolate Factory has now launched, as the latest social venture to provide training and employment opportunities for young adults with disabilities in the Blue Tongue Adventure program.
Local businesses, offices and staff rooms with eight or more staff can order a box for their workplace, filled with assorted chocolates.
Blue Tongue Adventure participants will be able to train or work in various roles in the operation, from collecting empty boxes and dropping off new ones to working at the factory refilling boxes ready for delivery.
Tea-Cup Cottage Disability Services director Alex Shaw said the venture would provide valuabl opportunities for School Leavers Employment Support participants.
"We have some participants who will thrive in a customer-facing delivery role, while others will really get a kick out of the logistical and organising work," Ms Shaw said.
Tea-Cup Cottage provides services like short-term accommodation, in-home support and day programs for young people on the bayside with disabilities.
Ventures include an art gallery, coffee cart and cafe.
