WOMEN will don their finest frocks for a night of merriment at an International Women's Day cocktail party.
Hosted by the Redlands Centre for Women, the event will feature live entertainment, delicious drinks and dancing.
It is a new event for the centre, which usually hosts a high tea event for International Women's Day.
A spokeswoman said last year's event had come right before COVID-19 restrictions were introduced.
"We didn't know what would happen this year, there's a lot of uncertainty," she said.
"(The event) is all about ladies having a good time and being together.
"It's a great chance to get dressed up and feel good after a tough year."
International Women's Day theme this year is choose to challenge, encouraging women to call out gender bias and inequality.
Guests will enjoy a complimentary drink on arrival followed by canapes while they listen to live music by The Mjayz, a pop rock covers duo.
The cocktail party will be held on Friday, March 5 starting at 6.30pm in the Gallipoli Room at The Redlands RSL.
Tickets are $47 and include canapes and a drink on arrival.
