INTERNATIONAL Women's Day on March 8 is themed #ChooseToChallenge and focuses on women in leadership.
The day aims to call out gender bias and inequality by seeking and celebrating women's achievements.
Soroptimist International Bayside will have an International Women's Day Breakfast on Friday March 5 at the Redlands Sporting Club, Wellington Point.
Guest speaker Jessica Taylor from Alexandra Hills will speak at the breakfast.
Ms Taylor is the president of QENDO, a not-for-profit organisation that supports those affected by endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS or infertility. She has made a significant difference in the lives of women and girls.
Ms Taylor was acknowledged for her leadership, extensive community involvement and empowerment of others by being awarded the 2020 Channel 7 News Queensland Young Achiever of the Year.
