REDLANDS Tigers Cricket Club played in four out of six semi-finals that were hotly contested over the weekend, with fourth grade and sixth grade going through to earn the right to host their respective grand finals.
Fourth grade put on an impressive batting display finishing 6-416 against South Brisbane, effectively batting Souths into submission who on the second day of play conceded the run chase sending the game into a draw.
As the Tigers finished in first position on the ladder they automatically qualified for the grand final.
Redlands batsmen Dylan Grey (133) and Jason Hill (127 not out), crafted two of the best knocks of the season to place the Tigers in a commanding position.
Tigers sixth grade won in a tight semi over a stacked Northern Suburbs team, including former Australian and Queensland player Jimmy Maher.
Tigers amounted a modest total of 140 in the first innings with Hunter Ellis the best with 48.
In reply Norths had the pressure of the score board in front of them and were bowled out for 132 with Baily Slater taking 3-26 and Jay Kidley 3-18 snaring the final wickets and a berth in the grand final.
Norths tried a 2nd innings attack but where held out by the Tigers scoring 8-91. Mason Catlow Elliot knocked up 55 with Norths running out of time in the final day of play.
In other semi-finals, third grade played the Gold Coast who put on 257 playing on the Gold Coast in a rain affected game which played against the Tigers.
Hauls included Carter Pearson's 3-98, Joshua Smith's 2-32 and Josh Thompson 2-35. Tigers batsmen - short on time with the bat - could put on only 5-42.
Tigers fifth grade played Toombul, with the opposition batting first and putting on 302, Jacob Dunne, with 2-53 and Rob Ballerino's 2-78 were best with the ball. Tigers batsmen in reply where all out 156.
A massive congratulations to third and fifth grade on reaching the semi-finals.
