THERE were amazing scenes at Redlands Tigers Cricket Club at the weekend as the club won two premierships on home turf in fourth and sixth grade.
In the fourth grade clash against University of Queensland, the Tigers piled on the runs to score a massive 420.
Dylan Grey notched 105 alongside Justin Ormandy, who put on 140 in a batting masterclass.
University of Queensland had their work cut out for them and the Tigers bowling unit leapt into action, dismissing the visitors for 172.
James Pullar (5/51) and Tom Biggs (4/40) were clinical in clinching the premiership win for the Tigers.
In a nail biter, sixth grade battled against Valley to have them all out for 139 in their first innings of the match. Brayden Hayes claimed 4/17 and Shane Beu 3/13.
The Tigers were all out for 165 in reply, with Mark Burt (48) taking the Tigers into the lead with a massive six. Mason Catlow-Elliot scored 27.
In Valley's second dig, they could only muster 80. Beu was the chief destroyer, claiming an incredible 4/4 while Jay Kidley chimed in with 3/30.
The Tigers chased down the 55 runs required for victory with ease, finishing 4/55. Hunter Ellis made easy work of the Valleys bowling, scoring 25.
Tigers won outright in both innings for the club's first ever win in the sixth grade competition.
Well done to our premiership winning Tigers and captains Matt Fay (fourth grade) and Greg Morton (sixth grade), to our coaching staff lead by Mark Rasmussen, our support staff, volunteers and sponsors. We thank you all.
