NON-ESSENTIAL council services will be closed from 5pm as the Redlands goes into COVID-19 lockdown for three days.
The Queensland Government this morning announced a snap lockdown for Greater Brisbane after the state recorded four new locally-acquired COVID-19 cases overnight.
The lockdown kicks off at 5pm on Monday and is set to lift at 5pm on Thursday.
Other local government areas affected are Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Ipswich and Logan.
Residents are required to stay at home except for essential purposes, including buying food and medications, accessing health care or providing support, exercising locally and undertaking essential work and study where they cannot be done from home.
Schools will be open to children of essential workers and vulnerable children.
Masks must be carried everywhere, worn in many indoor spaces and outdoor spaces where social distancing is not possible.
