POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a crash at Mount Cotton which left a woman in a critical condition last week.
Investigations into the incident suggest that a Mitsubishi Pajero travelling north along Mount Cotton Road crashed into a white Ford Fiesta travelling in the opposite direction.
Police say the crash took place near Seaview Drive about 7.30am on Thursday.
A 51-year-old woman, who was behind the wheel of the Ford, sustained limb injuries and was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a critical condition.
The Pajero driver, an 83-year-old man, was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
Both drivers had been trapped in their vehicle.
Crash investigators are encouraging anyone who witnessed the crash or the gold Mitsubishi Pajero prior to the incident to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
