BRISBANE Lions legend and Brownlow Medal winner Jason Akermanis delighted players and parents at Victoria Point Sharks when he paid a visit to pass on his skills.
About 50 boys from the Sharks' under-14.5 teams came to Akermanis' training session, where they took part in drills and exercises led by a great from the Lions' incredible three-peat of 2001-3.
Akermanis said he had a longstanding relationship with the bayside.
"I have always regularly done Auskick coaching days and clinics out at various Australian rules clubs," he said.

Akermanis won the prestigious Brownlow medal in 2001 and was inducted into the AFL Hall of Fame in 2015.
He was renowned for his goal-scoring abilities. He booted AFL's Goal of the Year in 2002 in a match against Carlton.
Victoria Point Sharks U14.5 coach Simon Kenny first met Akermanis when they both coached at North Albury.
He said the boys and their parents had been thrilled to have Akermanis in their midst.
"Not too many 14-year-old boys can say they have been coached by a triple premiership player and Brownlow medalist," he said.
"I think the biggest thing the boys learnt was to do the basics well under pressure.
"That is what separates the good from the great - being able to perform on a consistent basis.
"[It] was a night I'm sure they will all remember for a very long time."
Since his departure from football, Akermanis has entered the real estate business, heading up Blue Moon Ascot.
