Atletico Madrid have retained their La Liga lead with a goalless draw at Barcelona with the result handing control of the title race to champions Real Madrid.
Last week, Atleti benefitted from a Barcelona setback to remain at the top, and on Sunday they will need Real to stumble against fourth-place Sevilla to avoid dropping behind their city rivals.
"I'm not watching these matches, it's not something that is good for me," Atletico coach Diego Simeone said.
"I prefer not to watch them. And it won't change much if I do watch them.
"So I'll keep calm. I'll be having dinner with the family and then I'll start preparing for the next match."
Atletico lead with 77 points from 35 games, with Barca second on 75 while Real are third on 74 but with the head-to-head tiebreaker over both their title challengers.
Sevilla, on 70 points, are mathematically still in the hunt.
Simeone's team, seeking a first league title since 2014, have been in front for most of the season but squandered a big points lead at the business end.
Atletico played well at the Camp Nou but couldn't capitalise on their openings while Ousmane Dembele could have won it for Barcelona but headed over the bar late on.
Lionel Messi had some of the few chances for the hosts but his best near the end of the first half after a great run past defenders was brilliantly saved by Jan Oblak.
"We expected a better result but we are still alive," Barcelona defender Gerard Pique said.
"We played a good match, we competed, we had more clear chances than they had, but in the end it wasn't possible to get the win
"We don't depend on our own results anymore but anything can happen."
A home victory would have lifted Barcelona to the top for the first time this season.
Elsewhere, Joselu scored in the 87th to help hosts Alaves salvage a 2-2 draw with Levante in what could prove to be a crucial result in their survival battle.
Eight-place Athletic Bilbao and Osasuna drew 2-2 as mid-table Cadiz defeated relegation threatened Huesca 2-1, who remain 18th.
Meanwhile, second-tier leaders Espanyol secured their return to the Spanish top flight with a 0-0 draw at Zaragoza.
