ENERGEX says it is managing an unexpected power outage which is impacting customers across the state this afternoon.
The outage happened when a fire broke out at Callide Power Station, near Biloela in central Queensland. It began about 1.45pm in a turbine hall.
"As a result, the three units that were generating at the time went offline," an Energex spokesman said.
"The power station was immediately evacuated and emergency services to attend site. At this stage, there are no reported injuries.
"Ergon and Energex crews were immediately on standby to restore power supply as soon as safe to do so. Working with Powerlink we have mobilised quickly to restore power in affected areas.
"We thank customers for their patience during this unexpected incident."

MORE than 15,000 Energex customers in Redlands and Logan were without power this afternoon due to an issue with a central Queensland power station.
A total of 9489 south-east customers are still affected, with a fire at the Callide Power Station responsible for the mass outages.
An Energex spokeswoman said 340,000 customers had been restored.
"The outage was caused by an issue at the Callide Power Station earlier today," she said. "That has had impacts for us down the network.
"We had 387,000 outages in south-east Queensland at the peak, and also in the urban energy territory, which is regional Queensland.
"That was just after 2pm.
"It has been quite a swift restoration from our crews.
"We still have all available crews working on the network to try and restore power as quickly as possible."
